Resident. Locally common in the southern half of Britain, very local in
Scotland.
Montgomeryshire Status
This species was first recorded in 2014 at Middletown in the east of
the county. Only the 7th record for north Wales

Lifestage data
Stem miner. Eggs laid on foodplant. Larva mines stem, later feeding in
expanding buds. Pupates on ground or a crevice of bark. |
